Driehaus Supporters Clarify
My opponent has been sending out misleading mail pieces that give the impression that he has support from the individuals below. Please read their statements of support for my candidacy for the 31st House District...
Statement from Governor Ted and Frances Strickland:
We fully support and endorse State Representative Denise Driehaus. Both Frances and I have actively campaigned for Denise and ...made trips to Cincinnati on her behalf.
Denise Driehaus is a strong leader in the Statehouse. She is a fighter for working families, an advocate for equality, and a champion for schools and education. Denise understands that good jobs and strong communities are the keys to economic success.
It has been an honor to work with Denise. She is an inspiring public servant. We encourage you to vote for Denise Driehaus in the March 6th primary.
Statement from Councilman Cecil Thomas:
On March the 6th and November 6th, I’m asking you to return my friend Denise Driehaus as State Representative for the 31st District. Denise Driehaus sincerely cares about people. When I needed help at the State level to rename I-75 as Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Trail, Denise Driehaus was there. Denise Driehaus stood strong in opposition to SB5 and helped to defeat Issue 2. Denise Driehaus is standing strong with us in opposition to the “voter suppression bill,” H.B. 194
We cannot afford to lose her experience, dedication and commitment to serving the citizens of the 31st District.
Statement from State Representative Alicia Reece:
It has been my pleasure to work with State Representative Denise Driehaus for the past two years in the legislature. We have worked together on issues that are important to Cincinnati. We have stood together against voter suppression legislation and fought against attacks on working families and the rights of workers to bargain collectively. I look forward to continuing to work with Rep. Driehaus in the next General Assembly.
